Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your Procurement expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside strong analytical and collaborative teammates.
You'll develop and implement the Procurement strategy to ensure optimal cost productivity. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, such as Engineering, Project, Bid, and Technical Managers, to prepare tender Procurement commitments, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of collecting and formalizing Return of Experience on projects deployed in the region, but also challenging commodity buyers and managers to increase competitiveness and ensure convergence of commodity strategies with tender.
We’ll look to you for:

Managing procurement activities during the tender phase, ensuring adherence to Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (QCDP) commitments.

Leading supplier engagement and negotiation of pre-bid agreements when they create a competitive advantage for the project.

Collaborating with Engineering teams to support “Design-to-Cost” initiatives.

Compiling, validating, and updating procurement cost commitments for tender submissions, including supplier quotation analysis, firming, and risk assessment.

Preparing accurate, competitive, and timely tender cost packages, ensuring alignment with internal procurement strategies and market conditions.

Ensuring compliance with company procurement policies, ethical sourcing practices, and contractual requirements during tender activities.

Coordinating with Quality and Project Teams to confirm supplier readiness.

Setting up the full supplier selection process, creating supplier contracts, and managing contract execution.

Preparing and launching Requests for Quotation with suppliers.

Leading project negotiations.

Monitoring Procurement project QCDT & legal project evolution (FAI, Business Award, Product development).

Ensuring work package sheet commitment respect.

Preparing Business Awards.

Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.

Managing contracting activities and supplier contract execution while coordinating projects with all métiers.

Ensuring on-time delivery and quality, especially during the ramp-up phase of the project.

Supporting commodity strategy and consolidating commodity needs and inputs.

Participating actively in commodity strategy and panel elaboration.

Providing inputs to build differentiation.

Supporting the Commodity Manager during the tender phase.

Representing the commodities towards projects, platforms, and solutions.

Ensuring effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem-solving.

Applying the Alstom Procurement process and providing Return of Experience.

Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing or a related field.

Proven experience and understanding of procurement processes.

Previous Alstom experience will be considered an asset.

Strong knowledge of electronics and N&T materials and equipment, SCADA, metallic parts, and electro-mechanical systems.

Familiarity with Excel.

A second language is preferred.

Compensation
The expected compensation for this role is $90,000 – $118,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
