Objective

Alstom is seeking a PrEM. This individual will pilot the technical aspects of a complete railway Project or Tender.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Represents technically the project, vis-a-vis the customer
  • Specify and validate, with the team, the Transport System Solution
  • Coordinate all the railway project stakeholders and control the technical consistency through a strong interfaces Management
  • Lead and coordinate all the technical definition of a railway system
  • Produce with their team all the system and interfaces specifications in coordination with the subsystems design
  • Lead the technical relationships with the consortium partner and the client
  • Choose the hypotheses for performance calculations and validate the results
  • Control the system configuration and manage the design changes throughout all the development cycle
  • Follow the preliminary and final design progress
  • In relationship with the Project Test & Commissioning Manager, prepares the integration and validation activities
  • Lead, develop and motivate the project/tender engineering team
  • Implement the system engineering Methods and tools
  • Ensure the carry-over from previous projects and current R&Ds
  • Support the Project Manager

 

Reporting 

This position will report to the Project Manager.

 

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering

 

Experience

  • Broad knowledge of Railway systems, operating requirements, available equipment, and systems
  • At least 5 years of experience in Railway systems Engineering at the level of the global system in international projects
  • Expert in System Engineering (MBSE)

 

Competencies & Skills

  • Wide knowledge of the railway environment and of the main subsystems (Rolling Stock, Signaling, supervision, communication, infrastructure, CW)
  • Good knowledge of the railway Safety
  • Team Management experience
  • Good coordination and communication skills
  • Fluent in English is required and fluent in the contract language will be appreciated
