Could you be the full-time Power Supply (POS) Design Engineer in Toronto we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your Electrical Design expertise, and your Experience in Power Systems Generation Design in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Pierre Rolland (Head of Electrification) and work alongside an analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving teammates.

 

You'll be responsible to establish and review basic and detailed design documents for the GO Expansion project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business for technical interface management with internal and external stake holders, support definition of the global POS System architecture as per the external/internal requirements and much more.

 

You’ll specifically take care of Provide support on Power Supply (POS) topics to System Engineering team, but also the POS global performance.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Integration of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety (RAMS) requirements.
  • Functional analysis and specification.
  • Support definition of HV and LV Electrical design, SCADA + Protections design and Installation design.
  • Technical interface with Customer to provide support to POS Sub-system and POS Design Manager.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Your master's degree will be considered as an asset.
  • Strong experience in Electrical Design. and or Electrical engineering. Your experience designinf substations will be considered as a strong asset.
  • Strong experience in Rail or Transmission electrical design/engineering
  • You are familiar with Canada Electrical standards and common practices.
  • You hold a PEng certification or you are in the process of obtaining it.
  • You are fluent in English. Your knowledge of a second language will be considered a an asset.
