Manages varied subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of varied employees in the Engineering, Sourcing, Materials and Quality. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises varied non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel
  • Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
  • Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies
  • Primary contact with customer, partners and Customer Directors for project issues
  • Daily contact with customer’s Project Management Team for project progress and related issues
  • Support the Customer Director in negotiations on all critical variation orders, claim and contractual / revenue issues
  • Identify and communicate to Customer Director any information that can lead to new business opportunities or improved customer relationships
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with partners



Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience


Ten years related experience

Desired 6 Sigma, PM certification
