As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project, and we are hiring for hundreds of roles. The GO Expansion scope : new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.

Responsibilities

 

  • Define the System Interfaces relevant to Operation and Maintenance (O&M) : interface identification, interface register, requirements identification, acceptance.
  • Define the relevant Interface Control Documents (SICD) or equivalent (such Open Track files) that will define the requirements, performance evaluation and relevant agreements.
  • Ensure interface consistency and completeness by actively participating in requirements management process.
  • Manage the detailed interfaces definition (Software Interface Design Description (SIDD), cabling consistency, …) relevant to O&M.
  • Prepare and support integration phase.
  • Identify risks, scope gaps and grey areas and escalates as needed in order to grant the schedule.

 

Educational requirements

  • University Degree in Engineering
  • Licensed with Professional Engineers of Ontario (P.Eng.) preferred or in progress

 

Qualifications

  • Field experience and a good knowledge of railway operations, available E&M equipment and Subsystems
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of the rail construction environment and engineering practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivated, detailed oriented ability to learn new techniques in a changing environment are desired. Knowledge of international standards
