Could you be the full-time Integration, Verification, and Validation (IVV) Manager for the Supervision Control Center (SCC) scope in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical leadership and multidisciplinary engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and driven teammates.

You'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality, fully integrated solutions that meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and Alstom’s engineering excellence standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as technical experts, test and commissioning teams, and other Alstom units), lead multidisciplinary engineering activities, and drive system integration and verification strategies—and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of defining and executing integration, verification, and validation strategies across all project phases, but also ensure compliance with Alstom engineering processes, safety case requirements, and applicable regulations.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Leading the system integration strategy across all SCC subsystems, interfaces, and participating units

  • Owning and updating integration plans

  • Driving integration activities, resolving technical dependencies, and addressing cross-disciplinary issues

  • Defining, deploying, and managing the project verification and validation (V&V) strategy

  • Ensuring requirements traceability and overseeing verification activities and system validation

  • Managing technical contractual scope and securing customer acceptance of the V&V scope

  • Developing and managing a team of integrators and V&V engineers

  • Promoting best practices, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery

  • Representing Alstom in front of customers, partners, suppliers, and assessors

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field

  • Significant experience in engineering management on complex technical projects

  • Strong background in system integration, requirements management, and V&V processes

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary and multi-site engineering teams

  • Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS or equivalent)

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities

  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Familiarity with SCRUM framework and IBM ALM tools (EWM, ETM) or equivalent is a plus

  • Good understanding of test automation tools (e.g., TestComplete) is a plus

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $110,000 – $150,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
