Could you be the full-time Onboard Installation Manager in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and project management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and dynamic team of professionals.

You'll play a key role in shaping the future of transportation in Canada by ensuring the efficient and high-quality installation of onboard and carborne systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, subcontractors, and international teams), lead site surveys to gather essential data, and manage installation documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of installation planning, coordination, and quality assurance, but also support physical installations and manage technical interfaces with international teams.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Managing and planning onboard Installation, including Bill of Installation Materials, Method Statements, and Installation teams

  • Reviewing and finalizing installation designs, performing train surveys, and ensuring installation baselines are established

  • Overseeing the creation and updates of the Installation Management Plan (IMP) and supervising first article inspections

  • Ensuring Installation process adherence from 4M start of design to Handback for revenue service

  • Leading interface meetings with international, local teams and customer.

  • Supervising and monitoring contractor work to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards

  • Degree in Engineering or a Diploma with 5-6 years of equivalent education or experience

  • Experience in railway onboard site management (5-10 years preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of railway onboard products and services in various market segments

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design tools (certification preferred)

  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical drawings, tools, and testing procedures

  • Good communication skills and experience working in a unionized environment

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Ability to work both in-office and on-site under seasonal environmental conditions

  • Willingness to travel internationally on occasion
