Could you be the full-time Industrialization Team Lead in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your industrialization and manufacturing expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic, collaborative, and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes are optimized, our products are market-ready, and our industrial requirements align with project Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, EHS and Quality), lead industrialization activities, and ensure smooth collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll specifically take care of guiding the industrialization team throughout the product development phase, but also ensure the successful implementation of processes that enhance manufacturability and efficiency.

Industrialize products and projects from prototype, serial to maintenance phases. Ensure data, tools and components are always available for production and repairs all along the life cycle.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Defining and deploing project and product industrialization roadmap
  • Ensuring industrial requirements are addressed during product design and specification phases
  • Participating in co-engineering workshops and coordinating activities with internal units and external suppliers
  • Developing plans for tooling, manufacturing equipment, methods and industrial process validation
  • Propose, set up, and improve the manufacturing processes: workstations, tooling, industrialization rules, routings, assembly instructions
  • Set up and maintain the bookshop of times / methods library
  • Designing and optimizing machines set-up in workshops as well as the organization of every workstation
  • Developing routing and cable designs, integration, terminations and testing procedures
  • Overseeing and approving shopfloor designs, work instructions and methods developed by the industrial team
  • Leading Make or Buy analyses and defining industrial flows
  • Overseeing industrialization processes, including Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) and deliverable milestones
  • Managing industrial documentation, tools, and workstations to meet quality and EHS standards.
  • Supporting product and process validation activities such as First Article Review/First Article Inspection/First Mounting Review
  • Defining the Product industrial breakdown structure and manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM)
  • Developing concurrent engineering and design to cost approach between development and industrialization 
  • Provide and sustain Industrial maturity report per product line (definition files MR, test First Passed Yield per phase, failure rate at first installation, production cost, industrial scheme, lead time)
  • Driving continuous improvement plans in collaboration with production and suppliers
  • Contributing to industrial costing during tender phases and conducting REX assessments
  • Gathering industrial requirements and ensuring product design compliance
  • Designing macro-processes and introducing new technologies with validation plans
  • Developing specifications for industrial means and defining workstation layouts
  • Deploying Signaling industrialization processes (for products and projects) and DFM rules
  • Managing industrial QCD of generic products managed on project level during all life cycle
  • Develoing industrial means for product & project manufacturing and test with EHS mind-set
  • Ensuring application of Signaling Métier standards (tools, processes, specification)
  • Deploying Signaling industrial requirements internally and with subcontractors
  • Contribute to project industrial activity productivity plan
  • Ensure APSYS deployment and maturity development
  • Manage and develop team competencies
  • Spread best environmental and EHS practices in the team
  • Manage directly Industrialization Métier team including Product Industrial Manager, Industrial Engineers, Industrial Methods Engineer, Industrial Data & Tools


All about you

  • Engineering degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferably for electrical products

  • Experience in process engineering, design, lean manufacturing, and industrial operations

  • Proficiency in ERP tools (e.g. SAP) for Bill of Materials, routings, and configuration follow-up

  • Knowledge of CAD and Product Lifecycle Management tools (e.g. CATIA, DELMIA, ENOVIA)

  • Understanding of Quality, EHS standards, ergonomics, and finance principles

  • Experience in project management, production management and process FMEA methodologies

  • Prior experience in managing a diverese team 
  • Fluent in English

  • Desirable: Familiarity with railway industry practices and signaling products

  • Frequent weekly travel to Kingston, ON is mandatory
