Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your financial and operational expertise in a dynamic and innovative industry. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking team.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency across a variety of critical projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Operations, Procurement, and Project Management), analyze financial data to support decision-making, and ensure compliance with financial and operational standards.
You’ll specifically take care of tracking production and installation costs and monitoring variances, but also support the financial substantiation required for cost-plus billing and ensure compliance with Alstom’s finance rules and contractual obligations.
We’ll look to you for:

Tracking production and installation costs for all Oncorr scopes

Monitoring variances versus baseline: labour, material, subcontracting, logistics

Validating operational inputs for monthly forecasts (cost-to-complete, margin, cash)

Ensuring proper cost allocation across work packages, cost centers, and customer invoices

Supporting the financial substantiation required for cost-plus billing

Monitoring incoming materials, warehouse movements, and consumption

Ensuring accurate BOM tracking to support open-book cost transparency

Tracking operational KPIs: productivity, installation progress, subcontractor performance, equipment utilization, rework/defects

Providing insights and analytics to improve operational efficiency

Ensuring transparency, traceability, and audit-ready documentation for all operational costs

Acting as the financial focal point for installation and production managers

Supporting the Project Finance Director with inputs for claims, variations, and contractual negotiations

University degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business, or a related field

5–10 years of experience in Industrial Controlling, Project Controlling, or Operational Finance

Experience in complex industrial, EPC, or transportation projects

Strong analytical and data interpretation skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP
-
Knowledge of operational cost structures and manufacturing/installation environments
-
Familiarity with open-book or cost-plus projects (an asset)

Strong communication and influencing skills
-
Resilience and ability to manage multiple parallel operational streams

Ability to work with multidisciplinary operational teams

Compensation
The expected compensation for this role is $115,000 – $140,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
