Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your human resources expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll play a critical role in shaping a positive and inclusive work environment while driving strategic HR initiatives across the business. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including line managers, employees, and HR colleagues, to identify and address challenges, implement corporate HR strategies, and ensure compliance with company policies. You’ll also provide coaching and guidance to managers, helping them develop their leadership and people management skills.
You’ll specifically take care of workforce planning and recruitment strategies, as well as overseeing key HR processes such as performance management and employee development, but also ensure compliance with employment laws and collective agreements.
We’ll look to you for:
- Providing professional HR support to business partners and driving the project HR performance
- Understanding business needs and translating them into priorities, risks, and opportunities
- Leading and supporting the HR project team in defining and addressing priorities
- Championing initiatives to reinforce engagement and company values
- Implementing and monitoring Alstom’s performance management system
- Ensuring timely and effective recruitment and workforce planning
- Supporting and developing line managers in managing their teams effectively
- Collaborating with Total Reward and HRD to align policies with market trends
- Maintaining accurate HR data and metrics to measure performance
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws and regulations, in close partnership with Centers of Expertises
- Fostering positive industrial relations with unions and social partners
- Contributing to the HR organization to generate learning and continuous improvement opportunities
- Lead internal and external audits related to HR function and monitoring of action plans

- University degree in human resources, psychology, business studies, social science, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of HR business partnering experience in a similar industry or environment
- Generalist HR management experience covering all areas of HR practice
- Strong understanding of employment law, payroll, and employee relations
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Resilience and influence within a matrix organizational structure
- Previous team management experience (desirable)
- Ability to work from the project office location 4 days per week

The expected compensation for this role is $115,000 – $150,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
