Join us as a General Manager Of Equipment Maintenance, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Toronto, Ontario


As a General Manager Manager Of Equipment Maintenance, you will oversee all daily servicing, inspection, cleaning, maintenance, repair, and capital work.


 Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead, direct, organize and oversee assigned staff ensuring the Supervisory staff and Technical staff have the necessary qualifications, tools and direction to deliver the expected results;
  • Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance to contractual and regulatory obligation;
  • Ensure staff is aware of and adhering to proper work processes, procedures, production plans and established Safety practices;
  • Ensure all staff is aware of and fully trained on the maintenance requirements governing the BT LRV including any applicable modifications or retrofits in place;
  • Confirmation that all maintenance, material and repair activities are being entered into the Maximo system, that the required maintenance plans are being adhered to and that all maintenance documentation is being handled and stored as required by regulation, contract or Bombardier policy;
  • Conduct random and planned safety inspections of the workplace to ensure the highest possible safe work environment;
  • Ensure that the built-in-quality approach is understood, effective and being adhered to;
  • Participate in the selection, training and progress evaluations of new personnel to ensure they meet expectation and remain competent;
  • Ensure Supervisors performs in accordance with established company policies and contractual obligations and that matters which may not be consistent with Company policy are acted upon immediately;
  • Interface with company's resources outside the project location for any necessary support;
  • Ensure that the long term professional development plans for each direct report is being acted upon and that results are tracked and fed back to our HR Team;
  • Participate in twice daily visual management reviews with the MOE team to validate the departments focus, review performance, and identify key issues, safety performance, concerns and countermeasures;
  • Participate in the General Manager’s monthly communications meeting.
