Could you be the full-time Fleet Planner/Depot Planner in Whitby we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your planning and data analysis expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring Alstom’s maintenance schedules are efficient, robust, and aligned with operational and customer needs. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as production, maintenance, and customer service), monitor fleet mileage and condition status, and develop tools and governance processes to optimize planning and depot efficiency.

You’ll specifically take care of creating maintenance and planning schedules, but also oversee resource and material allocation to ensure seamless execution.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Producing daily maintenance schedules that include exams, wheel turning, defects, modifications, and more

  • Monitoring fleet mileage and condition status to identify and address defects proactively

  • Planning resources, facilities, and materials to increase depot efficiencies

  • Driving and monitoring production to ensure delivery of the maintenance plan

  • Developing tools, techniques, and governance processes for a robust planning function

  • Managing train diagramming processes and planning workloads for outstations

  • Post-secondary degree in Planning, Data Analysis, or a related discipline

  • Experience or understanding of railway operations (an asset)

  • Proficiency in Maximo and Microsoft Suite; familiarity with Power BI (an asset)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • A continuous improvement mindset

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
