Could you be the full-time hybrid Financial Planning, Reporting & Cost Control Analyst in Toronto, ON, CA we’re looking for? 

 

Your future role 

Take on a new challenge and apply your analytical and financial expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, innovative, and collaborative teammates. The Reporting & Cost Control Analyst processes multiple financial data and provides a fair view of site performance through consistent financial data aggregation and appropriate cost control financial analyses. You'll be instrumental in shaping the financial landscape of our projects, ensuring efficient planning, reporting, and cost control to drive our mission of greener and smarter mobility. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Operational, Commercial, and Finance teams), enhance financial reporting systems, and much more. 

We’ll look to you for: 

  • Assisting Operational & Commercial teams with reports and ad hoc analyses;  

  •  Supporting site management with analytics;  

  • Challenging internal stakeholders to stimulate performance.  

 

Key accountabilities 

      Planning & Reporting 

  • Ensure all financial data are collected, processed & analysed in a timely manner 

  • Prepare & populate the budget, forecast, rolling forecast in the reporting tools 

  • Improve and streamline finance processes and planning 

  • Maintain and enhance financial analytical reporting systems (Power BI etc.) 

  • Reporting contents: simplify and standardize various financial reports 

  • Prepare relevant analyses & reports at financial closing times 

  

      Cost Control 

  • Open & review costs under cost centres and WBS with actions to correct cost booking 

  • Prepare and review costs under projects 

  • Work with the Finance Analysts & FPMs and functions controllers to ensure alignment on numbers 

  • Prepare actuals for review with management and prepare update forecasts 

  • Identify possible cost & margin improvements, detect trends & possible KPIs evolutions 

  • Support the billing process with collecting from ERP and uploading evidences to client system 

 

 

All about you

  • Degree in Finance/Business University Degree, 

  • First experience in finance  

  • External Audit experience  

  • Prior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or Project Controlling, experience is a plus 

  • A certification in finance or accounting is a plus, as well as strong communication skills., 

  • Synthesis, turn complexity/multiplicity into simplicity 

  • Knowledge of controlling, FP&A, reporting, accounting principles & IFRS, 

  • Manage complex analytical subjects 

  • Ability to manage several topics at the same time, execution speed 

  • Good, and improving, knowledge of the Business and of Key Performance Indicators 

  • Proactive in detecting and fixing issues, 

  • Power BI expert user 

  • Some IT Systems savviness 

  • Propose Change and Innovation, Lead Initiatives 

  • Demonstrated Teamwork, Honesty, Integrity, Courage. 

  • Resilience and the ability to work under pressure and exposure to senior management, 

  • Autonomous (but not Independent) and result-oriented. 

  • Good interpersonal skills: ability to listen, accept, and convince while avoiding conflict, 

  • Ability to work in an international environment and solve problems with a can-do attitude
