Join us as a Failure Analyst, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Eglinton, Ontario
As a Failure Analyst, you will identify problem areas and recommend equipment service changes to reduce overall level of liquidated damages.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshoot equipment failures (electrical & mechanical) and analyze defect patterns;
- Provide corrective actions for equipment failures and defects;
- Confirm investigative troubleshooting is completed for reported defects;
- Collaborate with suppliers to investigate material and parts related failures and defects;
- Establish procedures and investigation check lists;
- Develop and coordinate failures and defects explanation for customer and management;
- Create Failure Analysis Reports (FAR).
Key requirements:
- 5 years of experience in repair and troubleshooting experience on Locomotive and Rail Cars would be an asset;
- You completed post-secondary program in the field(s) of Electrical /Electronic or Mechanic, or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent;
- Solid knowledge of preventative maintenance and work order scheduling techniques;
- Comprehensive knowledge of the latest diagnostic technologies;
- Sound judgement and well developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
