Could you be the full-time E&M Interface Engineer in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a dynamic and collaborative field. You’ll work alongside highly skilled and innovative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in defining and managing interfaces with various stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as design, project management, and subsystem teams), identify risks, and ensure the consistency and completeness of interface definitions, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of defining system-relevant interfaces and managing the detailed interface definitions, but also support the development and agreement of Interface Control Documents (ICDs).

We’ll look to you for:

  • Defining system-relevant interfaces, including interface identification and maintaining an interface register

  • Developing system Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and collaborating with subsystem teams to ensure alignment

  • Ensuring interface consistency and completeness by reviewing designs and actively participating in requirements management processes

  • Managing the detailed definition of interfaces

  • Identifying risks, scope gaps, and grey areas, and escalating as needed

  • Providing technical expertise in the rail construction environment

  • University Degree in engineering

  • Licensed with Professional Engineers Ontario (P.Eng.) or in progress

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in interface engineering

  • Experience in writing interface documents that detail technical designs

  • Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of the rail construction environment and engineering practices

  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and detail orientation

  • Ability to adapt and learn new techniques in a dynamic and evolving environment

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $90,000 – $125,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
