As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project, and we are hiring for hundreds of roles. The GO Expansion scope :  new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.

 

Purpose:

  • To support Configuration Management team to manage various activities though out the project lifecycle.

 

Key accountabilities:

 

The Configuration Management Intern will:

•     Organize data for configuration baseline and change proposals

•     Manage configuration and change management reporting and indicators.

•     Assist by developing tools and automations to manage configuration activities

•     Coordinate and liaise with team members to achieve desirable outcomes

•     Ability to automate various configuration related logs using scripting or software

•     Support other activities related to system assurance segment

 

Educational Requirements:

  • In progress of obtaining university degree in Engineering or IT related technical discipline

 

Behavioral Competencies:

•     Ability to adapt to the latest technology and willingness to learn

•     Ability to work with different people, team and acknowledging diverse opinion

•     Clear communication, flexible to work based on the project need and Resilient

 

Competencies & Skills:

•     Handon experience on any programming language (preferred in python)

•     Handon experience in Power Bi

•     Proficient in MS Office

•     Experience in handling reports and managing data
