Could you be the full-time Buyer in Toronto we’re looking for?
Your future role:
Take on a new challenge and apply your Procurement expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to our Procurement Project Manager in Toronto, ON, and work alongside strong analytical and collaborative teammates.
You'll develop and implement the Procurement strategy to ensure optimal cost productivity. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business such as Engineering, Project, Bid and Technical Managers as well as with many different stakeholders in order to prepare tender Procurement commitment, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of collect and formalize Return of Experience on projects deployed in the region, but also you will challenge commodity buyers and managers to increase competitiveness and ensure convergence of commodity strategies with Tender.
We’ll look to you for:
- Manage Procurement for Quality, Cost, Delivery and People commitment into Tender
- Lead the Prebid agreements at tender phase when it brings a real advantage
- Proactively cooperate with Engineering to ensure “Design to Cost”
- Consolidate the Procurement commitment in tender phase including actualization and firming calculations
- Builds realistic, competitive and on-time tender cost commitment

- Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing or a related field
- Proven Experience and understanding of Procurement Process
- Previous Alstom’s experience will be considered as an asset
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials and equipment, SCADA, and infrastructure
- Familiarity with Excel
- A second language is preferred
