The GO Expansion scope: new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more
Objective
Assist the Project Director (PD) and Project Management Team (PMT) by coordinating various tasks within the team to support the completion of planned work within budget, safely, and on time, while maintaining high standards in all areas according to company policies and procedures. This role will be part of a mentoring program aimed at developing project management skills and industry knowledge.
Responsibilites
- Support the PMT with updates on planned project deliverables.
- Ensure deliverables comply with company standards, policies, and EHS procedures.
- Assist in managing people, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Communicate project requirements to staff and draft reports.
- Perform document control activities and manage internal project interfaces, e.g., engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, installation, test and commissioning.
- Report project status and compliance to the PMT.
- Support PMT interfaces and reporting with external stakeholders.
- Occasional travel and shift pattern changes may be necessary.
Performance Measurements
- Complete assignments with attention to timeliness and quality.
- Adherence to management and EHS policies.
- Achieve targeted deliverables from the Project Management Plan.
- Produce of work package finance and weekly progress reports.
- Document and minute meetings according to project processes.
- Mentoring plan success criteria.
Education
- University Degree, preferably in STEM, Business or Finance.
Skills
- Understanding of project management, planning and financial concepts.
- High organizational skills and strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent communication and team-building skills.
- Fluent in English

- Leadership and people management skills.
- Demonstrable skills and experience that enhance project delivery.
- Experience or interest in railway, technology, engineering, or construction.
- Interest in an international and culturally diverse organization.
