Could you be the full-time Anomaly and Configuration Manager in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in anomaly management and configuration control to a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.

You'll make a significant impact by ensuring the smooth management of system-level and subsystem-level anomalies throughout the Test & Commissioning (T&C) lifecycle. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as engineering, subsystem suppliers, integration teams, and quality teams), lead anomaly review meetings, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of ensuring data consistency and reporting accuracy, but also maintaining full configuration control of the system during T&C.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Managing all system-level and subsystem-level anomalies throughout the T&C lifecycle.

  • Ensuring anomalies are captured, classified, and recorded accurately in the Anomaly Management Tool.

  • Coordinating with engineering, subsystem suppliers, and integration teams to analyze root causes and define corrective actions.

  • Monitoring closure progress of anomalies and ensuring timely resolution in line with project milestones.

  • Leading regular anomaly review meetings and providing consolidated status reporting.

  • Defining and maintaining anomaly-related KPIs and preparing dashboards, reports, and progress summaries for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintaining full configuration control of the system during T&C, ensuring all configuration changes follow the established Configuration Management (CM) process.

  • Validating that configuration items are up to date, consistent, and compliant with project requirements.

  • Supporting audits and formal configuration reviews, and ensuring the final system configuration baseline is accurate and ready for System Acceptance.

  • Contributing to continuous improvement of anomaly, configuration, and test processes.

  • Collaborating closely with VTA, System Engineering, RAMS, Subsystem leads, Integration teams, Quality team, and Project Management.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Work experience in an international environment.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in testing within a similar or relevant field.

  • Experience using anomaly or issue tracking tools (e.g., Mantis, Jira, ALM, DOORS, ClearQuest).

  • Knowledge and experience in configuration management for complex or safety-critical systems.

  • Knowledge of railway products, railway solutions (signalling, telecom, etc.), systems, and components.

  • Strong understanding of system integration and test processes.

  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and KPI metrics.

  • Strong communication, reporting, and organizational capabilities.

  • Preferred: Knowledge of configuration management standards (e.g., ISO 10007, CMII, EIA‑649).

  • Preferred: Familiarity with V&V, T&C, or system lifecycle methodologies.

  • Preferred: Excellent Excel skills (advanced formulas, data analysis, pivot tables, dashboards).
