Accountable for creating and updating the Project Master Schedule by integrating the constraints of the internal or external client, composing, scheduling and coordinating all the work packages to be executed within the project and establishing the interfaces with all the internal and external contributors.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develop & maintain a schedule of identified activities in a logic based schedule program.
  • Draw-up and update the Master Schedule. Integrates the constraints of the client, schedules and coordinates all the work packages and establishes the interfaces with all the internal and external contributors using the Critical Path Method.
  • Determine and analyze critical path activities for identification of potential delay impacts
  • Represent the scheduling function for the project to the client
  • Ensure the schedule breakdown by Work Packages according to project scope
  • Define with the Project Manager and Project Team the major milestones by Work Package for the entire project scope and timeline
  • Inform the Project Manager and the Project Team as soon as possible of any significant drift.
  • Verify and analyze, if necessary, the relevance of the planning and scheduling of the lower levels.
  • Guarantee the accuracy of the information that he receives and, if necessary, instigate the investigations if required.
  • Draw up and update the Summary Master Schedule, the periodic reports necessary internally for the hierarchy and externally for the client.
  • Update, consolidate, validate and record the Project Baseline Schedule with all the parties actively involved.

 

In tender phase specific activities are handled such as:

  • Evaluate and analyze the magnitude of the risks taken during the Tender NegotiationPhase for schedule aspects
  • Remain permanently in contact with the Bid Manager during the Negotiation phase.

 

In project phase specific activities are handled such as:

  • Collect, update and consolidate the physical progress follow-up for the project.
  • Propose and coordinate the corrective actions for reducing risks of delay, maintaining
  • floats and improving time control.
  • Write the periodic progress report(s) in accordance with the Project Time Management Plan.
  • Provide expertise and supports in the area to project Sub System Managers and Work Package Owners

 

REQUIRED PROFILE:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Manufacturing and/or rail experience preferred.
  • Requires a minimum 3 years of in-depth, verifiable, recent experience using Primavera Project Planner or Plannisware (PMS)
  • Candidate must possess experience in planning and scheduling with large projects in a matrix environment including the industrial environment
  • Requires experience in all aspects of project controls including planning, scheduling, and performance measurement.
  • 4 –6 years of Project Scheduling Experience highly desired using scheduling software Primavera or Plannisware (PMS)
  • Ability to work in high production environment with great demonstrated decision making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with accuracy at all times, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.
  • Experience and demonstrated understanding of concepts and products developed by the project management tool, i.e.: resource charts, pert charts, Gantt charts, concepts of float, schedule status, revisions, etc.
