PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Ensure Construction Quality compliance according to Customer & Internal specifications.

Represents Quality in the site team, responsible for supervising and coordinating site Quality Control activities in the project by inspecting the finished Installation and/or Construction works to ensure adherence to company quality standards and customer specifications.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  

Accountability & Authorities

Industrial Quality Engineering / Technician

  • Support Track Quality Manager in her / his scope
  • Manage Internal NCR: Support Quality team to complete characterization until closure using Problem Solving methodology Qualify construction teams regarding the Self-Inspection
  • Manage Construction Inspection Checklists
  • Perform Site Audit & Follow-up

Customer Quality

  • Be the independent voice of the customer in the site team.

Project Quality

  • Auditing of Quality systems such as, Installation method statements, Inspection and Test Plans for installation and Construction, Control Points and Hold Points highlighted on the ITPs, Site installation documents, other procedures and plans defined in the Quality Control Plan,
  • Responsibility for communicating the installation quality standards to field personnel through training, corrective actions, quality audits, production, and facility monitoring,
  • Monitor and administering the Quality Control Plan and ensuring incorporated materials on construction projects are following the plans and specifications,
  • Ensuring the proper implementation of Installation / Construction Inspection and Testing Plan, Project QC procedures, Method Statements; through surveillance monitoring of the related site activities,
  • Perform planned inspections as per the relevant Inspection and Test Plans, and liaise with the site technical engineers and supervision staff of the Owner regarding inspection requests, site arrangements, and inspection and test results,
  • Monitor nonconforming products under areas of their responsibility and support site engineers in their closure,
  • Raise non-conformance reports as necessary and follow-up until its closure,
  • Monitor processes implementation and integration, specially related to Installation and Construction Method statement and ITP’s,
  • Ensure that the documentation used during the Installation / Construction and inspections are aligned in accordance with the management system documentation, and properly managed, updated and communicated.
  • To ensure the proper collection of samples for laboratory tests and comparative measurements to achieve correct and reliable measurement.
  • Preform incoming inspection for track scope components and record all relevant documents on SAP.

Performance measurements

  • Punch List Item Reduction
  • CONQ per unit (Cost of Non Quality) reduction to achieve objective defined
  • APSYS score objective for Industrial Quality requirements (Q09 to Q13 items)
     

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements

 

Mandatory:

  • Master’s degree in engineering (electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical…) or equivalent for Engineer
  • Associate degree for Technician (2 years technical degree after high school)
  • Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment
  • Experience in managing Quality tools (Problem solving, Lean Six Sigma, …)

Experience

 

Mandatory:

  • Processes knowledge on Quality and at Construction level
  • Using digital tools

Desirable:

  • 5 years experiences in Construction
  • Experience in Project management or equivalent
  • Experience in audit is appreciated
  • Railway experience is a “plus”
