Railway Systems Requirement and Configuration Engineer

Purpose of the role

On the Tel Aviv Green Line Project and in accordance with both the Configuration Management Plan and Requirements Management Plan, the mission of the Railway Systems Requirement and Configuration Engineer is to provide means, for the Rail Systems team, of :

 

  • Monitoring & control of the Rail systems configuration and of the requirements over design and execution throughout the project life cycle and successive stages.
  • Ensuring that design and execution are meeting contract specifications.
  • Networks

    The Railway Systems Design Managers and their team, the Planning team, the commercial team –contract manager - , the CAD Manager, the Rail Systems Project Director, the Client.
  • Measurement

  • Coordination with the delivery Design teams, inc. regular meetings and follow up,
  • Definition of the Railway system ,
  • Reporting of status on assessment by Railway Systems on Configuration’s change forms,
  • Reporting general progress and issues on Requirements Management from the different Rail Systems teams,
  • Accurate deployment of the Configuration and Requirements Plans within the Rail Systems teams,
  • Understanding of the different disciplines’ constraints.
  • Responsibilities

  • Process and organize data for Rail Systems Configuration baseline and change proposal forms.
  • Engage with IBM DOORS program to coordinate the administration of contract requirements data by the Rail Systems teams and ensure production of outputs are done as required.
  • Liaise with various project key points of contact to ensure CM & RM procedures are followed  by the Rail Systems teams and inputs are delivered on time.
  • Provide guidance on Requirements, Change Control and Configuration Identification guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure sub-systems readiness for design gate reviews.
  • Support other activities within Rail Systems segment.
  • Educational Requirements

     B.SC / Other quantitative field of studies.
  • Experience

    Knowledge on managing configuration and requirements on a Project, preferably on Rail transit systems Projects
  • Behavioural / Technical Competencies

  • Keen eye for details
  • System Engineering approach
  • Highly organized
  • Quick learner
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point
  • Experience in working with IBM DOORS – Advantage
  • Fluent English – verbal and written
