PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- The Power Supply T&C Engineer is responsible for executing all Test & Commissioning activities related to power supply systems at the project site. The role ensures that all equipment and systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and project requirements.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES :
Key Accountabilities:

- Execute on-site testing and commissioning of power supply systems (MV/LV equipment, traction systems, transformers, protection systems, control and automation).
- Perform functional tests, insulation/megger tests, continuity checks, torque verifications, and panel energization procedures.
- Ensure compliance with engineering documentation, FAT/SAT procedures, technical standards, and QCD criteria.
- Clear and Exhaustive understanding of the Customer Acceptance Criteria.
- Manage the development and supply of test procedures, facilities and tools for RS sites and depots
- Ensure that test procedures and tools configuration are managed during the project lifecycle
- Define the Standard Operating Procedures with reference time and monitor deviations
- Continuously optimizing SOP’s.
- Implement REX (Return of Experience) from Test & Commissioning phase of the project.
- Ensure Interface and perfect working relationship with engineering project team, Site Industrial, Warranty Implementation team, Site Logistics and Industrial Support to Warranty teams, Quality, Site Validation team.
- Support the T&C Operations team, for the implementation and execution of the Testing Procedures.
- Implement and deploy methods and tools and best practices pointed out at group level.
- Provide technical support to installation and site teams regarding electrical design issues, system interfaces, and test readiness.
- Coordinate with Power Supply Engineering, Project Management, Suppliers, Subcontractors, and Field Operations teams.
- Participate in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Prepare test procedures, checklists, T&C reports, NCRs, and as-built test documentation.
- Ensure proper configuration management and version control of T&C documents.
- Submit T&C deliverables for approval according to project quality requirements.
- Ensure all site activities comply with EHS standards, electrical work regulations, and client requirements.
- Participate in site safety briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES:
Educational Requirements:
Mandatory:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Valid electrical work license “Electrical Engineer “
- Driver License
- Strong communication, autonomy, rigor, and safety mindset.
- Good knowledge of English language (read, written, spoken).
Desirable:
- Railway and Power supply systems knowledge
- Any other additional language is an asset
Experience:
Mandatory:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Testing & Commissioning of Electrical, Control, onboard communications & network systems within process industry, railways or factory automation
- Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, traction power, substations, control panels, and electrical commissioning.
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation, testing methods, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, SLDs, protection diagrams, and installation drawings.
- Excellent communication, autonomy, and problem-solving abilities
- Previous Engineering, V&V, T&C or Maintenance for Railway Power supply systems is an asset.
- Team management skills
