MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  

 

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day field activities related to track construction at road- intersections and Track-to-track crossings.

Ensure correct installation of special trackwork such as turnouts, diamond crossings, and at-grade crossings.

Coordinate with civil, signalling, and utility teams to manage interface points at intersections.

Monitor compliance with design drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards

Lead and manage track crews and subcontractors on site.

Ensure the application of safety procedures, traffic control plans, and railway protection protocols during works near active roadways or rail lines.

Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, inspections, and material tracking for intersection zones.

Identify and resolve construction issues in collaboration with engineering and planning teams.

Support quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes, including alignment and leveling checks.

Coordinate with local authorities or municipal bodies for permits, detours, and inspections when required.

 MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in civil engineering, railway engineering, or related field.

Desirable:

Engineering / University degree

Knowledge of Quality codes & standards

 

Experience

Mandatory:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in track construction, with at least 2 years focused on intersections or complex trackwork.
  • Familiarity with heavy machinery and tools used in track installation.

Desirable:

  • Appitrack product knowledge (preferred)
  • Knowledge of construction sites (organization, interfaces, specialties such as topography or logistics)

Competencies & Skills

  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Understanding of worksite safety practices, especially in mixed traffic environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
  • Fluent in English is an asset.
