Could you be the full-time Mechanical Design Engineer in Taubaté we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the successful design and delivery of high-quality mechanical systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (suppliers, engineering, and production teams), perform detailed designs, and ensure compliance with technical requirements and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of performing and maintaining Space Allocation Mock-ups (SAM) in line with progressive maturity rules, but also creating annotated SAMs for supplier exchanges and producing installation deliverables.
We’ll look to you for:

Performing space allocation according to MLE inputs during the tender phase

Creating and maintaining SAMs while considering constraints and progressive maturity rules
-
Developing 3D detailed designs of design-make parts based on allocated volumes, stakeholder-defined interfaces, and technical referential
-
Ensuring manufacturability and maintainability constraints are met

Supporting technical discussions with suppliers to finalize technical definitions

Producing 2D or annotated 3D detailed designs in line with internal data structuration rules

Producing installation deliverables and instructing Engineering Change Requests

Specifying and verifying tasks delegated to the Shared Engineering Center (SEC mode)

Contributing to weight data provision and stack-up calculations

Providing expertise at Alstom production sites or supplier premises for FAI and type tests

Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience in mechanical engineering, preferably applied to heavy industry, with 2 to 3 years of experience (including 3D modelling and drawing creation)

Knowledge of design in the railway industry (desirable)

Familiarity with CATIA V5 (or similar product) and PLM (Enovia or similar product)

Fluent in English (reading, writing, and technical discussions)

Strong attention to detail and a rigorous approach to tasks

Ability to collaborate effectively with other functions and disciplines
