Could you be the full-time Buyer in Taubaté, Brazil, we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

 

Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and solution-oriented teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as project managers, commodity managers, engineering and suppliers), drive supplier negotiations, and ensure compliance with Alstom’s ethical standards, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of managing supplier performance and supporting commodity strategies, but also lead procurement activities in projects to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Supporting global and local supplier panel relationships, including negotiations and performance monitoring

  • Managing day-to-day supplier performance and addressing initial issues before escalation

  • Consolidating commodity needs and providing inputs for strategy development

  • Actively participating in commodity strategy and panel elaboration

  • Coordinating procurement activities during project phases, including Request for Quotation (RFQ) preparation and negotiations

  • Ensuring compliance with Alstom's Code of Ethics and guidelines

  • Advanced and/or fluent English proficiency

  • Previous experience in procurement, project CAPEX investments, contract management, and purchasing of unproductive materials

  • Knowledge of SAP and ARIBA platforms

  • Good verbal communication skills

  • Immediate availability

  • Residing in Taubaté or the surrounding region

  • A proactive and adaptable mindset
