We are looking for Translator & Documentation Controller to join our Trainborne Equipment 7-Train/Xinyi One Additional Station & ATP for DMU-15 Train Project in Alstom Taiwan.

The Translator & Documentation Controller is a vital supporter of the project team, working in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders: project manager, project management team, engineering team, testing team, sourcing team, suppliers and customers in document process management, document translation and administrative support.

 

This position includes document translation (Chinese to English and English to Chinese), categorising documents referring to project needs and the contract signed with the customer. 

 

What are my responsibilities?

  • Translate for necessary documents, correspondences or meetings of miutes  (Chinese to English and English to Chinese)
  • Support for the development and implementation of Project Documentation Plan. Make sure those rules are understood and respected by Stakeholder Project Management team members.
  • Respect the proper functioning of the department of Documentation.
  • Respect document control actions assigned such as:
    • Prepare and follow incoming and outcoming correspondence for the project. Ensuring delivery, receipt and timely distribution of correspondence
    • Coordinate the actions of the participating entities in terms of deliveries, communications and other internal and external requests.
    • Register and update the necessary documentation, according to the processes and documents exchanged in the database
  • Make sure internal validation of documents is done and perform the subsequent validation process before submittal to Customer/Engineer. 
  • Respect the process of exchanges of internal and external documents.
  • Contribute to Project Manager in alerting the Project Management team about the next milestones related to documentation deliveries.
  • Ensure documentation recording in the Electronic Documentation Management System (Project Library, Documentation and Correspondence).
  • Provide documentation reporting and indicators to the Project Manager, and Project Management and prepare any reports according to the project needs
  • Perform documents storage as defined during Project life and document archiving at the end of the Project 
  • Be accountable for control of up to date hardcopy and elctronic records
  • Generally speaking and according to the guidelines and given objectives, contribute to the Consortium Doc Control Manager's responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Project team when need.
  • Provide assistance to Project Manager for ad-hoc work assigned

•    3 or more years of documentation control experience
•    Excellent Chinese & English translation skills (verbal + written)
