We're looking for System Assurance (RAMS) Manager to join our Taipei Circle Line Phase 2 Turnkey Project team in Alstom Taiwan.


Taipei Circle Line-II is a newly awarded project in Taiwan to extend from phase 1 West ring to North and South rings of the future Circle Line, overall 20.66km with 18 stations cross both Taipei and New Taipei Cities.


The role is key to smoothly communicate and allocate safety requirement to the team and subsystems, ensuring Metro operation safety well planned and monitored to meet Alstom standard, contractual requirement and Global Standard.


What are my responsibilities?

  • Being the point of contact for RAMS matters on the project,
  • Translate for Technical documents, correspondences and customer comments
  • Perform and coordinate System Assurance (Safety, RAM and Human Factor) activities in compliance with QCD commitments,
  • Defining and transfer in a timely manner the necessary safety requirements to put under control the relevant railway safety risks and follow them until closure in the Hazard Management Tool (Hazard Log, checklist, …,
  • Supporting other project stakeholders (design, industrial, sourcing, validation etc..) in the definition of appropriate measures to meet the RAMS actions and to follow their closure through appropriate documented evidence,
  • Supporting the Quality Manager in the performance of Safety Design Review and the issuance of Safety Authorizations by providing the necessary inputs,
  • Taking the role of Safety Leader in order to support the team in the assessment, containment, closure and Return of Experience of the issue,
  • Having a pro-active approach on the design assessment to support in the adequate definition of technical solutions to put under control the railway safety risks,
  • Review, consolidate and coordinating the RAM/Safety/HFE deliverables from different entities,
  • Seeking the technical understanding of the design in order to better assess their SA performance and potential areas of improvement,
  • Applying the Alstom Transport Railway Safety processes & instructions on the project,
  • Reporting on the progress of Systems Assurance activities and alert the hierarchy in case of difficulty,
  • Addressing Customer, his representative or other parties’ comments to get approval on the System assurance deliverables within the limits of Alstom Transport commitments,
  • Ensuring that the actions of communication / awareness on railway safety (internally or externally) are done,
  • Supporting the Solution or Platform in identifying railway safety related regulation,
  • Managing the RAMS Engineer to meet the QCD commitment.


What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Minimum 5 years of successful experience as a RAM/Safety Management within different industries (Aerospace, Defence, Space, Military, Nuclear, Chemical) including railways,
  • Electrical and/or Electro-mechanical Engineering preferably applied to Railway products with at least 2 to 3 years of experience
  • Knowledge CENELEC standards (EN5012X) and US standards,
  • Fluent in English. Chinese (Mandarin) would be a plus
  • Organisation skills and good management of priorities
  • Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer),
  • Time management and reporting skills,
  • Autonomous and sense of priorities,
  • Structured and organized with hands-on approach,
