We are looking for Site Electrician & EHS Officer to join our Taipei Metro, Taipei Circular Line Phase 2 Project in Alstom Taiwan.

The Site Electrician & EHS Officer  is a vital supporter to ensure all electrical plan and activities in good and safe arrangement following regulation, functional and contractual requirement. In this role, you will report to Project EHS Manager. 

 

What are my responsibilities?

  • Support Site EHS manager for EHS topics
    • Cooperate with the internal resources to achieve EHS objectives.
    • Support the Site EHS Manager to review the EHS Risk Assessment and to define appropriate measures to control risks.
    • Support the EHS Site Manager to prepare, implement and maintain emergency plans.
    • Assist Site EHS Manager to conduct the routine inspection for the electrical devices/ equipment as per self-inspection plan. 
    • Recognize the best practices and the good performance. React to violations to regulations and Alstom Standards.
    • Develop and review the SOP, Method Statement and Risk Assessment of all the relevant electrical activities within the project.
  • Develop Site EHS Management System for electric devices/ equipment
    • Support the Site EHS Manager to ensure that Alstom EHS standards and tools (Alstom Zero Deviation Plan (AZDP), Transport Operational Performance in Environment (TOPE), Transport Key processes) are deployed at Site level.
    • Develop and review the safety provisions of electronic devices/ equipment inspection.
  • EHS Compliance
    • Assist the Site EHS Manager to ensure compliance of the site activities according to the EHS Plan, guidelines and work instructions.
    • Perform EHS legal compliance checks for specific requirements.
    • Collaborate with other professionals, such as engineers and contractors, to complete projects.
  • Develop EHS culture in the site
    • Inform, instruct and train employees to carry out the work in safe & environment-friendly mode according to the method of statement.
    • Participate in the implementation of the site EHS training programs by providing EHS inductions and ensuring Toolbox meetings are organized.
    • Following the reporting system to raise up the deviation/ observation from the jobsite for improvement.
  • Report, Measure & Review
    • Support the EHS Site Manager to capture, report, record, investigate and analyse accidents/incidents in order to implement corrective and preventive actions. 
    • Support the preparation of monthly EHS reports. Can be in charge of feeding EHS reporting system in line with Group reporting requirements and under control by Site EHS manager.
    • Carry out inspections of work areas and carry out EHS audits and report any discrepancy.
    • Carry out the maintenance and repair for the relevant electrical devises/ equipment

 

What do I need to qualify for the job?

  • Engineering degree (Electronic/Mechanical) level or equivalent education
  • 3+ years as Electrician and 3+ years in EHS (Environmental, Health, Safety)
  • Knowledge in ISO14001 and ISO45001
  • Knowledge in EHS regulation and legal requirement
  • Certified at Class B skill category of Commercial Wiring (乙級室內配線) or above as must
  • Certified as Health & Safety Qualification recognized by the enforcing authorities / License in the country of operation(職業安全衛生乙級管理員證照/資格) as desired
  • Reading and writing in English required
  • Fluent in Chinese as must
