Test & Commissioning Lead Engineer – IT/Telco

Surry Hills – Sydney Light Rail Project

Permanent Position


We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Engineer to join our team and help deliver the Sydney Light Rail project. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Testing and Commissioning of the IT and Telco based subsystems for the project.


Key Responsibilities for This Role Include:


  • Write and prepare Test Procedures and Commissioning work packages for the IT and Telco subsystems
  • Prepare and execute field commissioning activities (including static, dynamic and integration test)
  • Complete test reports in compliance with customer and Alstom requirements
  • Support the Verification & Validation (V&V) teams on test platform/Factory Acceptance Testing
  • Liaise and run the interfaces with onshore and offshore teams, subcontractors and the customer
  • Manage EHS in accordance with customer and Alstom policies and procedures

Qualifications, Skills and experience Required Includes:


  • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline (Telecommunications/Electrical/Electronics/Computer Systems preferred)
  • Experience within complex and multidisciplinary transport projects with an underpinning knowledge of IT and Telco subsystems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
