We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Test & Commissioning Engineer to join the Alstom team and work on Sydney Metro – Australia’s largest public transport project! In this role, you will lead the Computer Based Interlocking (CBI) scope. This is a permanent role with opportunities for ongoing career development and progression.

 

Key Responsibilities for this Role Include:

 

  • Write and prepare Test Procedures and Commissioning work packages for the trackside and interlocking equipment
  • Prepare and execute field commissioning activities (including static, dynamic and integration test)
  • Complete test reports in compliance with customer and Alstom requirements
  • Support the Verification & Validation (V&V) teams on test platform/Factory Acceptance Testing
  • Liaise and manage the interfaces with onshore and offshore teams and the customer
  • Manage EHS in accordance with customer and Alstom policies and procedures.


Qualifications, Skills and experience Required Includes:

 

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical/Electronics/Computer Systems/Mechanical preferred)
  • Experience within complex and multidisciplinary rail signalling projects with an underpinning knowledge of signalling design principles & standards
  • Experience working with signalling Test and commissioning
  • Practical knowledge of the operational requirements of rail signaling commissioning works (previous experience working within the NSW Rail corridor is an advantage however not essential)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
