Join us fulltime based out of North Ryde, Sydney, supporting Digital Systems and Sydney Trains annual work packages across the NSW rail network. Alstoms ETCS teams in ANZ region, interlocking teams in the APAC region, and the Main Line Platform team in Europe.

Provide technical expertise relating to Signalling designs, continuing development of Alstom’s Signalling design processes and procedures, supply technical guidance and mentorship in the development of Signalling designs. Specifically take care of ETCS L1 & L2 Signalling designs, guiding and mentoring the design team, identifying design related issues and providing innovative solutions.

 

We’ll look to you for experience in:

  • Review Signalling concept, preliminary and design phase; functional specifications, signalling plans, drivers diagrams, object controller bit lists, power calculations, conventional / ETCS L2 control tables, ETCS L2 and Interfacing Circuit designs, interface documentation and deployment / stage work strategies 
  • Identify technical issues and develop innovative Signalling solutions, where required, for Signalling related designs.
  • Laise with suppliers, project, construction, test and commissioning teams where required.   
  • Tender development and collaboration with NSW site based teams, CBI Centre of Excellence in Me

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering
  • Experience in NSW Signalling roles;TfNSW and Sydney Trains procedures, guidelines, process and requirements
  • Producing and reviewing Signalling designs
  • Relay based and computer based interlockings
  • ETCS L1 experience
  • Producing MicroStation drawings in compliance with TfNSW and Sydney Trains requirements.
  • Experience with Axle Counter Systems
