Could you be the Senior Legal Counsel based in the North Ryde office that we’re looking for in our ANZ Legal and Contracts Management team?

 

Your future role:
 

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our collaborative and dynamic ANZ Legal and Contracts Management team based in either the North Ryde, Sydney offices. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for front-end legal work across Alstom’s portfolio of major transport and infrastructure projects. 

 

We'll look to you for:
 

  • Prepare, review and negotiate contracts, or other legal documents with an acceptable level of risks.    
  • Acting as the lead Legal Advisor for a diverse range of major infrastructure projects.
  • Providing expert legal advice to a broad range of stakeholders on all matters of construction and contract law.
  • Supporting the business in the review and submission of contracts and tender documentation.
  • Assisting the legal function with general legal counsel matters and corporate governance.

 

All about you:
 

  • Experienced Senior Legal Professional who enjoys providing legal expertise in the tender/bid phase of complex major projects. 
  • Strong commercial acumen coupled with great interpersonal skills, communication and excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous experience as a Lawyer (either in-house or private practice) within the infrastructure, engineering or construction sector, ideally with a Tier 1 contractor.
  • Familiarity with public tenders and experience with PPP agreements.
  • A relevant Law degree.
