We are currently looking for a Senior Contract Manager to join our Sydney Metro Delivery Team to lead and drive strong commercial outcomes for Alstom. In this role, you will lead a small team to ensure that Alstom is in the best possible commercial and financial position.


Key Responsibilities in this Role Include:


  • Establish, implement and lead the commercial and contractual processes  in regards to correspondence, notifications, insurances, variations and claims.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of all progress claims as well as negotiations with customers and partners.
  • Manage subcontractor progress, payments and any contractual issues and provide solutions and advice to the Project Director and Project Manager.
  • Anticipate potential events and risks to the project and provide counter strategies and commercial solutions to minimise project impact.
  • Lead, mentor and motivate the contracts team to deliver the best outcome for the company as well as the individuals.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Includes:


  • Tertiary Qualification in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar) or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Significant experience in Contracts Administration and Management in the engineering industry (ideally rail, civil or similar).
  • Ability to lead commercial aspects of negotiations with Customers and Suppliers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the commercial management and governance requirements for major infrastructure projects.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to think on your feet!
