Could you be the Maintenance Techncian in Rouse Hill we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your overhaul expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside motivated and energetic teammates and will join the Services business working on the Sydney Metro North West Project. In this role you will be responsible for the completion of overhauls on the first driverless metro train in Australia. We’ll look to you for:

Carrying out overhaul maintenance programmes on the fleet of trains and Depot infrastructure repairs/maintenance, including trouble shooting, inspections, component changes and overhaul of various rolling stock parts

Adopting a flexible approach to work practises and a ‘Competence based skills’ i.e. do what trained, assessed and deemed competent to do to provide full flexibility based upon competence and skills provided

Investigating faults on mechanical, pneumatic and other components as required / instructed in line with core discipline

Refurbishment and modification of rolling stock including the replacement and upgrading of components and systems

Responding to in service breakdowns and take part in a ‘first response situation’ should emergencies in service arise

Compiling accurate examination sheets, modification records, and other relevant documentation

Participating in integrated teams when performing electro-mechanical equipment changes on Metro cars, involving multi-skilling

Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) required

Fault finding ability with demonstrated experience in a similar role

Experience in maintenance activities in a similar environment with railway industry experience an advantage but not essential

Good interpersonal and communication skills
