We are currently looking for an expereinced Linesman to join our Sydney Light Rail team based at the Randwick depot. 

 

In this role you will directly report to the SLR Infrastructure Operations Manager and will be primarily responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, and repairing OHW and track components and monitoring overhead and track faults, fault troubleshooting and investigations. 

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Organise labour and materials as needed to complete duties
  • Perform isolation of catenary equipment
  • Mitigating risks of in-service failures through proactive intervention
  • Follow safety procedures and utilise safety equipment
  • Reporting
  • Liaising with multiple stakeholders such as suppliers and subcontractors

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Certificate III in Rail Traction or Distribution
  • Must be able to work on call (rostered) - shift work, nights and weekends
  • Proactive approach. Flexible and willing to perform extra duties to support the wider team.
  • Actively participate in team forums, communication sessions and other training
