Your role, your impact

As an Industrialisation Engineer based in North Sydney, you will work closely with the ANZ Project Industrial Manager to support industrialisation activities across new and ongoing Digital & Integrated Systems projects. This role is the link between design and procurement. You'll collaborate with engineers to understand product specifications, manage material data in internal systems, and ensure information is accurate before it moves to the procurement team for sourcing.

We welcome recent graduates and early-career professionals with 6 months to 2 years of corporate experience who are curious, eager to learn, and highly detail-oriented. You'll have a strong interest in working with data, systems, and structured processes in a collaborative project environment.

While a degree in engineering is advantageous, we also encourage applications from candidates with strong technical aptitude, analytical skills, and the ability to understand and interpret technical specifications.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

This role will include

  • Supporting industrial readiness and design-for-quality activities
  • Maintaining Bill of Materials and Bill of Quantities, and industrial data in systems (e.g. Enterprise Resource Planning)
  • Updating material demand and ensuring data accuracy and traceability
  • Assisting with KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reporting (e.g. Ontime IR GO, Material coverage, On time delivery)
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimisation and waste reduction
  • Support implementation of cost reduction and efficiency improvements
  • Collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Quality teams
  • Supporting coordination to ensure alignment between design and procurement.

You’ll work with sharp, committed teams across Altom — solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility.

What you bring

  • degree in Engineering (Industrial preferred or Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes and procedures
  • Confidence working with data and documentation
  • Solid IT skills, particularly in Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and Word
  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Pronto) is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and work closely with engineers
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn in a team environment.
  • North Sydney based role, 4 days in the office.
  • Australian Citizenship or unrestricted permanent work rights in Australia are required. This is a permanent full-time position.

Here, progress isn’t always easy — the scale is massive, the tasks are complex — but the impact is real. Because when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects — that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.
