  • Assist RTP-SA Manager to create all relevant documentation and facilitate discussion for the various Risk Assessment workshops; PHA, IHA, SHA, OSHA, SiD, HAZID, HAZOP etc.
  • Implement the Interface Hazard Analysis (IHA) processes and procedures between system suppliers’.
  • Updates to FTAs and FMECAs based upon SI work on RMS boundaries.
  • Perform and coordinate Safety Assurance activities (risk analysis, hazard log, review RAM, Cybersecurity, Verification and Validation, Testing & Commissioning activities) from a Safety perspective.
  • Coordinate all Safety Assurance activities on the project based on the safety process defined in the project.
  • Setup the key stakeholder’s involvement in each IHA workshops/discussions.
  • Assist RTP-SA Manager to create Test Readiness Safety Cases, Design Safety Cases, GASCs, SASCs and update throughout the development life cycle.
  • Assist RTP-SA Manager to review and support all safety documentation with regards to Specific Application Safety Cases for Onboard, Wayside and Site Data.
  • Assist RTP-SA Manager to review and support all safety documentation with regards to Generic Application Safety Cases for Onboard, Wayside and Site Data.
  • Assist RTP-SA Manager to provide Safety Governance between the RMS systems and various systems, Independent Safety Assessments (ISAs) and ISVs.
  • Assist RTP-SA Manager to create and updates of GA and SA Hazard Logs, Design Decision Registers and provide support for so far as is reasonably practicable (SFAIRP) arguments in compliance with the legislative requirements of the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR).
  • Assist RTP-SA Manager to define the Operational Safety Case (OCS) at the RTP level for the approval of ONRSR.
  • Apply the safety assurance methodologies defined for RTP project.
  • Support BHP to integrate systems in project.




  • Bachelor in Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunication, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3 years of similar experience
  • Knowledgeable in CENELEC standards for safety and safety methodology & concepts/principles.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in safety assurance for safety related applications.
  • Knowledgeable in the Rail Safety National Law (WA) Act 2015 and SFAIRP requirements. 
  • Ability to lead and drive the integration activities between different system suppliers’ from Safety perspective.
  • Familiar with signalling system and requirements management.
  • Familiar with engineering safety management process, hazard identification, risk assessment and derivation of safety requirements.
