We looking for an experienced Railway Signalling Authorisation and Certification Engineer. to work with the authorisation of both wayside and onboard signalling installations in Stockholm, Sweden.
About The role
This position is for you who already have experience with railway system authorisations. You are familiar with the EU railway directives, TSIs, CSM-RA, the regulation on vehicle authorisations, and the ERA One Stop Shop. You will work closely with your manager to build the Alstom D&IS C&A team in Sweden, and after a while, you will also take on some of the responsibilities for the team, which responsibilities will depend on the needs of the team and your interests. You will also be responsible for supporting junior C&A engineers in learning the craft of railway C&A.
Your responsibilities
Be responsible for writing Certification & Authorisation plans and performing the actions in the plans. Be the interface in Certification and Authorisation matters towards the Engineering part of Alstom, the clients, and the authorities in Sweden and the EU. Participate in the strategic discussions of the team and contribute to the development of internal tools, and bid work. Within a three-year period, it is expected that some of the managerial tasks of the C&A manager in Stockholm will be transferred to the holder of this position.
Qualifications:
• Languages: English is necessary. Swedish is a big plus.
• Education: Master of Engineering or similar experience.
• Work experience: At least two years, preferably more, of experience from working with certification and authorisation, preferably in the railway signalling domain.
• Skills: Be a good report writer, good at reading complex texts, have an interest in understanding the complete picture, capable of identifying the relevant details and disregarding the other details, good and flexible communication skills. Interested in mentoring junior employees.
• Knowledge of the railway industry in general, and the railway signalling industry in particular, is a plus.
