You’ll provide sharp guidance and leadership to drive proactive contract and claim management, as well as risk mitigation strategies aligned with Alstom's business objectives. From extensions of time to variations orders and contract amendments, your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring seamless project execution.

We’ll look to you to:

  • Apply the Contract, Claims, and Insurance Management Manual and adhere to Alstom governance.
  • Craft and communicate a comprehensive Contract Summary, regularly updating and disseminating it.
  • Collaborate with the Core Project Team to prepare a robust Contract Management Strategy Plan.

  • Analyse contracts meticulously, building and implementing the Contract and Claim Management Strategy Plan, with regular updates to the project team.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring contractual milestones are met and issuing timely contractual notices.
  • Establish and implement project-specific commercial procedures, particularly in correspondence, notifications, insurance, variation requests/orders, and claims preparation files.
  • Monitor and manage insurance policies, collaborating with the Regional Insurance Manager for validity and updates.
  • Develop a pragmatic commercial approach based on contractual analysis to protect Alstom's interests daily.
  • Record, notify, and manage claims or counterclaims, preparing all necessary documentation for negotiations.
  • Monitor customer and partner requests for variations, change orders, or extensions of time.
  • Provide proactive advice on issues, risks, contractual or claims activities, considering contract and business objectives.
  • Deliver training on contract or claim management to key project stakeholders.
  • Anticipate events and risks associated with contract management, proposing alternative solutions to maintain control.
