Could you be the full-time Onboard System Designer in Stockholm we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to System Design Team Lead, and work alongside supportive and motivated teammates.
The train movements are controlled by Automatic Train Control (ATC) System in a safe way. The Trackside ATC is responsible to send to Onboard ATC the track conditions that allow entering in a given segment. Those conditions could be: point machines at right position, track clear, speed restriction, route set, etc. The Onboard ATC compares the information received from Trackside ATC against train actual conditions (speed, position, track, direction) and can restrict its movement if there is any risk to go over a safe limit.
You'll develop the Onboard ATC system architecture defining and allocating requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Engineering Team and System Product Team).
You’ll specifically take care of keeping close coordination with verification and validation activities and with project deployment activities, in line with the system roadmap.
We’ll look to you for:
- Design system and provide related documents (specification, architecture, interface, etc.).
- Ensure the ATC configuration by application data is performed regarding the process and ready for testing.
- Handling Requirement Management
- Lead ATC Design Reviews.
- Investigate the Verification and Validation (V&V) test failures for corrective actions.
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- Degree in engineering (electronics, embedded systems or equivalent)
- Understanding of complex real time systems
- Familiarity with interaction between software and hardware
- Knowledge about requirements management.
- English skills are mandatory; Swedish is an advantage.
Things you’ll enjoy
Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
- Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
- Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
- Contribute to innovative projects
- Utilise our agile working environment
- Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
- Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
- Progress towards senior roles.
- Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
