Join us as a Manager Systems Engineering in Stockholm, Sweden, to lead our teams of System Engineers and Interlocking Logic Engineers for Trackside projects.
Your future role
As Manager for our Systems Engineering organisation, you will be responsible for managing an organization of several teams. The teams consist of System Engineers, Requirement Managers, System Architects, Interlocking logic Engineers, with the responsibility to ensure safe and reliable Trackside solutions in our customer delivery projects in Sweden and internationally.
Your direct reports are the Team Leaders responsible to ensure the overall delivery of their respective teams. Your responsibility will include defining an overall System Engineering strategy, to that our products are developed in line with the Solution roadmap and adhere to the applicable Railway Signaling standards in the most efficient and safe way. You will work closely with the other organizations Project Execution, Site Engineering and Verifcation teams, as well as external stakeholders and colleagues in our global organization.

We'll look to you for:
- Lead and manage a large organization with Systems Engineering to achieve goals in Trackside projects.
- Align the Solution roadmap with internal execution strategy.
- Develop customer relationships to align long-term roadmaps and ensure continuous improvements in both quality and functionality.
- Develop ways of working to adhere to Alstom processes and tools to be aligned with all stakeholders.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of our deliverables, innovate and improve on our existing solutions.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes diversity and inclusion.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Manage capacity and competence planning in close collaboration with the development programs.
- Build capabilities to drive the development of railway signaling solutions.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
All about you:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in leadership.
- Strong team management skills.
- Experience working with testing in embedded development projects.
- Experience of testing and development in safety-critical or other complex systems development.
- Familiarity with Hardware, Software and environmental testing.
- Experience mentoring and developing test engineers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- English at a fluent level is mandatory for this role, Swedish will be considered a plus.
- Experience with safety standards such as CENELEC (EN50126, EN50128, EN50129) or equivalent is a plus.
