Your future role
As Manager for our Application Design organization, you will be responsible for managing an organization of several teams. The teams consist of Software- and Hardware Application Designers, with the responsibility to configure and adapt our products to specific markets and deliver to our customer delivery projects in Sweden and internationally.
Your direct reports are the Team Leaders responsible to ensure the overall delivery of their respective teams. You will play a key role ensuring our capabilities to support the customer expectations on how Railway signaling is adapted to the future.
Your responsibility will include ensuring that the team has the necessary resources for optimal performance, focusing on effective workflows, skills development and appropriate staffing. You will be responsible for ensuring and follow up that your team has the right environment and capability to ensure delivery of their engineering activities on time.

We'll look to you for:
- Lead and manage a large organization to achieve goals in our Trackside projects.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for your team members.
- Develop ways of working to adhere to Alstom processes and tools to be aligned with all stakeholders.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of your organization’s deliverables, innovate and ensure continuous improvements in both quality and functionality.

- Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Manage capacity and competence planning in close collaboration with the development programs.
- Build capabilities to drive the development of railway signaling solutions.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
All about you:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in leadership.
- Strong team management skills.
- Experience working with testing in embedded development projects.
- Familiarity with Hardware, Software and environmental testing.
- Experience mentoring and developing engineers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- English at a fluent level is mandatory for this role, Swedish will be considered a plus.
- Experience with safety standards such as CENELEC (EN50126, EN50128, EN50129) or equivalent is a plus.
