Could you be the full time IXL Application Design Engineer we are looking for in Stockholm?

 

Your future role:

Working with railway signalling has never been more exciting than now. The new European standard, ERTMS is on its way to reshape the future of public transportation. You will work on designing and developing the software for computerised interlocking system (CBI). Our product is the requirement framework deciding how and in which way the rail traffic may be managed in a country. The process includes identification and formalisation of customer requirements, design and implementation of new functionality and test and verification of our products. During the whole process the safety work is documented and finally approved by official authorities in the country where the client is located.

 

In the role of IXL Application Design Engineer, you will be part of a team of developers, testers, and verifiers. We work with our own proprietary tools that you will learn in the work. Working with Alstom will give you a unique possibility to gain in depth knowledge in the technical aspect of our business. 

 

We'll look to you for:

 

  • Interpret interlocking requirements
  • Create and review design and test documents
  • Implement interlocking requirements in interlocking logic software
  • Conduct functional testing of interlocking logic software
  • Deliver on time with required quality, following applicable internal and external rules and regulations in the project work
  • Interface with other parts of the company as needed: Requirement Engineers, System and Project Engineers
  • Maintain and improve work methods and processes
  • Set requirements on and evaluate applicable tools
  • Give related support to Site Engineering

 

All about you:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science or Engineering or equivalent.
  • Software engineering/ Software development knowledge
  • Knowledge about safety standards and regulations desirable
  • Experience from signalling or railway industry is an advantage
  • Fluent English is mandatory for this role; Swedish is an advantage
