Could you be our future full-time Hardware Designer based in Stockholm?

 

 

Your future role:

Take part in development and maintenance of wayside products. You will be designing electronic Printed Board Assemblies and cable harnesses for Object Controllers, used throughout the world to facilitate safe and convenient travel. Due to the nature of the products you will have to take into account safety, reliability, as well as harsh environmental and national/regional/industry standards. You will be the key person in regards to hardware, being deeply involved in all phases of development, from specification to industrialization. With support from Software, System and V&V Engineers you will integrate your product into a wider system and drive it to release.

 

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Sustain existing HW products:
    • Analyze and resolve incidents coming from field return/production and propose design improvements.
    • Together with Component Engineering analyze impact of obsolete components and propose replacements.
    • Perform redesigns of existing products due to component obsolescence.
  • Develop new HW products:
    • Specify, architecture, design and document electronic HW.
    • Deliver electrical schematic, Bill of Materials and define PCB routing constraints.
    • Produce PCB manufacturing files (gerbers, ODB++, assembly/mounting drawings, drill, P&P).
    • Together with Industrialization engineers ensure products' manufacturability (DfM), testability (DfT) and repairability during design.
    • Perform bring-up and smoke-tests together with HW and SW colleagues in lab environment.
    • For SIL1-SIL4 products perform FTA / FMECA analyses together with Safety Engineers.
    • Together with RAM Engineers provide evidence of compliance to Reliability, Availability and Maintainability requirements.
  • Remain informed of the evolution of technologies through techno watch.
  • Apply processes and industry standards. 

 

 

All about you:

  • Master’s, or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, or related area;
  • At least 5 years of experience within the area of electronics design;
  • Experienced in electronics design within domains of Power, Digital, Analog/Mixed Signal, Safety-Critical electronics;
  • Experience applying international standards for functional safety, EMC, reliability, environmental conditions, manufacturing (CENELEC, IEC, IPC, EN, …)
  • Experience performing SPICE simulations (Pspice/LTSpice);
  • Technical writing and familiarity with the concept of Change Management;
  • Experience designing schematics and PCBs in ECAD tools (OrCAD, Altium);
  • Experience working in lab environment;
  • Fluency in English; Fluency in Swedish is a plus;
  • Experience programming FPGAs/PLDs (Verilog, VHDL) is a plus;
  • Experience managing requirements in DOORS is a plus;
