Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your environment, health, and safety expertise in a dynamic and impactful field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and proactive teammates.

You'll ensure a safe and healthy environment for our people and contractors while minimizing environmental impacts and protecting Alstom's assets. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including construction site personnel and project managers, to promote compliance, foster a strong EHS culture, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of implementing EHS risk assessments and emergency plans.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Cooperating with internal resources to achieve EHS objectives.
  • Assisting in coordinating and controlling site activities to ensure EHS compliance.
  • Providing guidance to site personnel to prevent injuries, equipment damage, and environmental pollution.
  • Supporting the development and deployment of local EHS procedures, ensuring alignment with Alstom and international standards (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).
  • Helping ensure compliance with EHS plans, guidelines, and legal requirements.
  • Promoting EHS awareness through training, inductions, and toolbox meetings.
  • Capturing, reporting, and analyzing incidents to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conducting EHS audits and inspections to identify and address discrepancies.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • University degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant education
  • Strong experience in Environment, Health, and Safety.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Deep knowledge of local EHS legal requirements.
  • Fluency in English and Swedish.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively at all levels.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.
  • Work with cutting-edge safety standards for rail construction and operations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and supportive colleagues.
  • Contribute to innovative projects that make a tangible impact.

  • Progress towards leadership roles in EHS management or other areas.
  • Enjoy a fair and dynamic reward package that recognizes your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
