EHS Specialist to be based in Stockholm

 

 

What will you do?

As an EHS Specialist, you will ensure the Alstom Lifesaving rules are implemented throughout all our activities, and that our performance is continually improved. Furthermore, you will act as a positive ambassador for EHS, supporting and leading by example in all aspects of EHS. You can expect to be working out on site as much as in the office.

 

Job location preference is Stockholm, Sweden, with around 50% travel around the Swedish sites. Other locations in Sweden may be considered.

 

Your Responsibilities?

  • Work with project managers to identify and assess EHS hazards and meet project documentation requirements during planning, execution, and review
  • Be present on site to support managers and teams in their day-to-day activities
  • Train, coach and mentor leaders and teams to independently manage EHS at their sites and within the areas of their responsibility.
  • Monitor and perform workplace inspections & audits along with action plans to ensure they are being followed up in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure Risk Assessments are completed and maintained for all activities. presenting EHS risk, and those controls defined therein are implemented and effective.
  • Perform EHS audits of contractors in accordance with the audit plan, agreed with sourcing/operations.
  • Participate in contractor reviews internally within Alstom and with the contractor organizations.

 

Who are you?

  • EHS or railway work experience, with strong practical skills
  • Recognized EHS certification, or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of ISO standards ISO45001 & ISO14001
  • Good knowledge of EHS regulations applicable within Sweden
  • Driving license
  • Willingness to spend time visiting sites
  • Able to independently manage own workload
  • Ability to write and speak English. Written and spoken Swedish would be a significant benefit.
