We are currently looking for a Lab coordinator in Stockholm



Your mission:


At our Sites in Stockholm, Hässleholm, Gothenburg and Västerås, we have approximately 30 different labs with electromechanical engineering, development of new equipment to the railway business and for testing of our computerized systems before delivery to customers. The lab coordinator will be responsible to ensure that all labs fulfil the standards and procedures as prescribed by Alstom processes. To coordinate and support the lab owners on implementation of relevant processes, follow legal requirements and assessing the fulfilment of the 12 lifesaving rules for EHS in Alstom. The role will be responsible for all D&IS labs in Sweden.




Your responsibilities will include:


  • Collaborate with the team Lab owners of the approx. 30 labs
  • Coordinate global and local initiatives that has impact on the labs
  • Implement best practice from different labs around Alstom to continuously improve the standard and the efficiency of the labs.
  • Ensure IT security requirements are fulfilled
  • Ensure physical security is fulfilled
  • Ensure Alstom lifesaving rules are applied (AZDP)
  • Follow the reporting structure required for the position
  • Lead the move to new office location for the labs in Stockholm
  • Ensure waste management, chemical hazards and other environmental aspects are properly managed by all the labs
  • Lead the creation of a culture where we can be proud of our labs and keep them clean and safe




Your experience and qualifications:


  • Degree in electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of legal requirements for electrical safety
  • Knowledge of basic requirements for health and safety legislation
  • 3 years lab responsible role
  • Fluent English with excellent writing skills
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet
  • Strong communication skills
  • Results focused with a ‘sense of urgency’ to achieve within required timescale
  • Ability to work on own initiative
