Your future role:

We are looking for a structured, detail-oriented, and collaborative Configuration Manager to join our Engineering team in Stockholm. This is a key role within our development and delivery organization, supporting system engineering projects with robust configuration and change control practices.

As a Configuration Manager, you will take ownership of identifying, controlling, and maintaining the configuration of our complex engineering systems, ensuring traceability and alignment across product lifecycles. You will act as the main point of contact for configuration management, working closely with engineering, product development, validation, and industrialization teams to drive consistency and efficiency.

This role is central to ensuring our product definitions are well-documented, traceable, and compliant with internal and external quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining and maintaining configuration management plans and processes
  • Identifying and managing configuration items (CI) and establishing configuration baselines
  • Ensuring traceability from input requirements through design, development, and delivery
  • Coordinating and controlling changes through proper change management procedures
  • Supporting configuration reviews and audits
  • Managing documentation and data within PLM and related tools
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including system designers, hardware/software developers, project managers, and quality engineers

All about you:

We value passion and a proactive mindset. While not expecting you to have every single skill, we believe these will help you succeed in the role:

  • University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant technical field
  • 2–5 years of experience in configuration management or engineering support in complex, technical projects
  • Knowledge of configuration and change management principles and tools (e.g., Teamcenter, DOORS)
  • Familiarity with system lifecycle management and systems engineering practices
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Swedish is a plus)
  • A team player who is comfortable coordinating across departments and managing technical documentation

Things you’ll enjoy:

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
  • Work with leading-edge system design and lifecycle processes

  • Contribute to innovative and sustainable mobility projects
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
  • Be recognised through a dynamic reward package that values your performance and potential

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
