As Bid Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping and evolving our business strategy and service solutions. Working closely with a dedicated tender team, your mission is to increase our order intake by building and strengthening trust with both existing and new customers. In your daily work, you’ll engage with Alstom’s global network to deliver successful tender projects.

We expect you to
- Coordinate internal activities to identify and understand customer needs.
Play a crucial role in gathering and analysing customer requirements, forming the foundation for successful bids. - Define and implement the bid operational strategy based on commercial and technical requirements
- Responsible for analysing requests for proposal (RFP), developing the operational strategy, and ensuring the offer is competitive.
- Lead and motivate the bid team throughout the process
Build and manage the team, collaborate closely with the Tender Leader and other key stakeholders to deliver a strong bid. - Identify, analyze, and manage risks and opportunities, and optimize QCDP(Quality Cost Delivery Performance) factors to maximize business value.
- Make sure all activities adhere to Alstom’s internal guidelines, Code of Ethics & Compliance, EHS, Railway Safety, and quality standards.
About you
We value passion and attitude more than experience. Therefore, we don't expect you to have all the skills, but we have listed a few that we think will help you succeed and develop in the role:
- Master’s degree in engineering or economics demonstrates a strong academic foundation relevant to the role.
- Experience in the railway industry or similar, or in project engineering which brings deep industry knowledge and practical expertise to complex bids.
- Background in project/bid management, especially in bid writing, financial, planning and risk aspects
- Skilled at building and maintaining professional relationships, communicating effectively, and negotiating with customers and partners.
- Fluency in English and Swedish ensuring effective communication both internally and externally in an international environment.
